In 2012 I started looking for small charcoal houses in the region of Atibaia in the interior of São Paulo. So I started to document a family that lived exclusively from the production of charcoal.
The project ended in July 2016, when I returned to visit the family that lived with a lot of work despite the crisis that Brazil faced this year.
