The competition takes place 13 years ago in Alto Bela Vista, in Santa Catarina. The city, which has only 20 years of existence, has about 2 thousand inhabitants.

In times of "run of jiricos" the number of people in the region can even triple, as farmers and adventurers of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul spend the weekend in the city to not lose any curve made in the Jiricódromo (affectionate nickname given For the track).
